Contract type: Full time
Be part of one of the most significant transformation programmes at Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust.
We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Project Support Officer to join the Hospitals Transformation Programme (HTP), a high-profile initiative shaping future hospital services.
This is not a routine administrative role. You will support a fast-paced programme delivering major service change and capital developments, working with senior clinicians, managers and programme leads.
You will help ensure smooth delivery by coordinating meetings, maintaining documentation, supporting project planning and enabling effective communication across workstreams. Acting as a central point of contact, you will manage priorities and resolve day-to-day challenges.
We are looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment, builds strong relationships and delivers accurate, professional work. You will be proactive, well organised, confident using IT systems, and able to manage competing demands.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop project support skills while contributing to work that will have a lasting impact across the Trust.
To act as Senior Administrator for the Hospitals Transformation Team, mediating with various levels of personnel including operational staff, managers, senior clinicians and directors.
To provide administrative/secretarial support to the clinical workstream within the Hospitals Transformation Programme (HTP), resolving day-to-day problems independently.
To act as the first point of contact for enquiries from staff, external colleagues and members of the public relating to the Clinical workstream within Hospitals Transformation Programme (HTP).
Our Poppy’s Promise Commitment
We believe that compassionate care sits at the heart of everything we do. Every member of our team — clinical or non-clinical — plays a vital role in ensuring that patients, families, and colleagues are treated with dignity, empathy, and respect at all times.
We expect all staff to demonstrate compassion not only through their words, but through their actions: by listening attentively, communicating clearly and kindly, and recognising individual needs, feelings, and circumstances of those in our care.
Effective communication is central to safe and high-quality healthcare. We value colleagues who take the time to understand others, explain information in a meaningful way, and respond to concerns with patience and understanding.
By joining our team, you are committing to uphold these values — ensuring that every patient feels heard, respected, and valued, and that compassion is embedded in every interaction, every day.
