A warm and welcoming family based in Holland Park is seeking an experienced, nurturing live-out nanny to join them in July 2026.
The nanny will be caring for the family's first child, a baby girl born in March 2026. The family has been supported by a maternity nurse known to the agency, since her birth and is now looking for a nanny who can provide continuity of care and confidently guide their daughter through the next stage of her early development.
In her daily role, the nanny will take full responsibility for the child's wellbeing and development, supporting her physical, emotional, intellectual, and social growth in a calm, attentive, and stimulating environment. At this early stage, the focus will be on key developmental milestones such as tummy time, rolling, reaching, and grasping, as well as encouraging sensory exploration through age-appropriate play. The nanny will actively engage with the baby through talking, singing, and reading, helping to foster early communication skills and secure attachment, while ensuring that feeding and sleep routines are consistently followed and gently adapted as the baby grows.
The role includes all aspects of childcare, such as overseeing the baby's daily routine, preparing bottles and later supporting the introduction of solids, bathing and dressing, organising outings and walks, and, when appropriate, attending local baby groups or arranging playdates in the future. The nanny will keep the child's areas tidy and organised and remain attentive to her developmental progress, adapting activities to support each stage. This is a fully child-focused role; the nanny will not be responsible for the parents' needs or general household upkeep.
The family's main priority is to ensure their baby is happy, well cared for, and able to enjoy quality, engaging time throughout the week.
The nanny will work 10 hours per day, five days per week (50 hours total), from Tuesday to Saturday (9:30am to 7:30pm or 10am to 8pm).
Two consecutive days off will always be provided. Some flexibility will be appreciated on both sides, for example occasional adjustments to start or finish times due to personal commitments, while maintaining the guaranteed 50 hours per week.
Occasional Babysitting Will Be Required And Paid Additionally.
The family would appreciate flexibility for occasional short trips within Europe. While the mother's family is based in the US, the nanny will not be required to travel there. Future international travel may arise, but currently the family tends to travel within Europe (e.g. Spain) twice a year for a few days.
The parents speak several languages; however, English is the primary language spoken at home, and the nanny must have a good command of English.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience caring for young infants and demonstrate a confident, gentle, and proactive approach.
The family is seeking a long-term commitment.
