We are offering a brilliant, bespoke package to suit YOU to join our team as an experienced, skilled HGV Mechanic, based at Horwich.
The successful applicant will be part of a team responsible for the repair and maintenance of our fleet of vehicles and trailers. We’re looking for someone who is able to communicate effectively to ensure that vehicle defects are reported, and to ensure that vehicles and trailers are without defects when on the public highways. The ideal candidate will be able to work as part of a team in an effective and timely manner, along with being able to use own initiative and knowledge as and when required.
Main duties
Continuing vehicle roadworthiness; completing defects and repairs
Preparing and taking vehicles for MOT when required
Attending technical breakdowns
Assisting with tyre changes/repairs
Ensuring the workshop is maintained for a safe working environment
Keeping up to date and complying with all Health and Safety, HR, Environmental and transport related policies and procedures
