A client of ours in Saffron Walden is recruiting a General Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time temporary-to-permanent position working Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with a salary of up to £13.00 - £13.50 per hour depending on experience.

Your key duties in this General Assistant role will include but are not limited to:

• Supporting the Production Manager with day-to-day workshop activities.
• Ordering bolts, parts and general workshop supplies.
• Managing PPE stock and ensuring supplies are available.
• Printing engineering drawings and handling purchase orders.
• Keeping general supplies stocked and helping wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly.
  
  

Skills and experience required to be considered for this role:

• A practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to get involved in varied tasks.
• Previous administration experience, including handling paperwork and purchase orders.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence working independently and using initiative.
• A flexible, reliable attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Previous experience in engineering, manufacturing, stores or a similar environment would be advantageous.
