About the role: Foundation Maths Tutor

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring foundation teacher to join our Lifeskills faculty based at our Bracknell campus. The Lifeskills team work to support a diverse range of learners, who may face barriers to education, including learners with special educational needs, learners who need support with the transition back into education and ESOL learners building their skills and knowledge in preparation for their continued educational journey.

You'll be teaching ages 16-19 split between GCSE maths and various Entry level and Level one Foundation subjects.

This post provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 37 hours per week based at Bracknell & Wokingham College.

What do you need to be successful as a Foundation Maths Tutor at Activate Learning?

We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work. A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement.

Successful candidates will have experience in teaching GCSE Maths, Project Based Learning activities and the ability to nurture and support young adults with a variety of needs. Experience teaching ESOL and Tutoring would be highly desirable but is not essential.
