We're looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team based from our Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. This role benefits from our 4xFlex working pattern, offering a 4-day working week Monday - Thursday. Monday and Tuesday are mandatory onsite with Wednesday and Thursday worked from home subject to business needs.


Suited to someone who is self-motivated and able to work closely within a close-knit Finance team, you’ll be ACCA or CIMA qualified with experience of general accountancy roles. You will need effective communication skills, be highly capable of planning and multi-tasking and ready to hit the ground running.


Day to day responsibilities include:


  • Completion of month-end and quarter-end reporting.
  • Assist with preparation of annual statutory accounts.
  • Preparation of tax and RDEC submissions.
  • Submission of statutory US and UK statistical data.
  • Management of foreign currency transactions.
  • Completion of internal audit procedures.
  • Support to capital expenditure and fixed asset accounting.
  • Working closely with senior team members.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.

Required skills, qualifications and experience


  • ACCA or CIMA Qualified Accountant
  • Proven experience in general Accountancy roles
  • Statutory accounts
  • Financial reporting
  • Strong IT skills particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  • Keen eye for detail with an ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner.


Desirable skills


  • Knowledge of UK corporation tax and RDEC regulations.
