Facilities Manager

National Trust

Date: 2 weeks ago
City: High Wycombe
Salary: £30,966 per year
Contract type: Part time

Summary

We're looking for a Facilities Manager to lead the care of sites across Hughenden, West Wycombe and Central Chilterns.

You'll play an important part in securing the support, engagement and resources needed to ensure these special places continue to inspire and benefit generations to come.

The role is 4 days a week which can be discussed at interview. As our pay for entry sites are open all year round, there is regular weekend and bank holiday working.

Internally you will be known as 'Facilities & Support Services Manager'.

What it's like to work here

Hughenden Manor is a beautiful red brick mansion, once home to Victorian Prime Minister, Benjamin Disraeli. Perched on a hilltop, the country home delivers historic vistas of the surrounding woodland and valleys that come into their own. Its tree-filled pleasure gardens are a mosaic of colour, with the rich golds and reds of the beech trees contrasting to the lush evergreens.

West Wycombe Park is an elegant Palladian mansion, home of the Dashwood Family.

You'll be based out of our Estate office located at Hughenden Manor which is situated a short distance from High Wycombe and local transport links are excellent.

What you'll be doing

As our Facilities and Support Services Manager, you'll be leading all planned preventative, reactive and small projects across the property group. You'll also be involved in the day to day running of capital works projects.

While the role is based out of Hughenden Manor, you will also support our other site at West Wycombe Park. The role manages a small team of staff and volunteers who are responsible for efficient management, maintenance and compliance, alongside efficient business services.

The role is part of the property group leadership team and duty management team. There are also delegated budgets and compliance responsibilities.

Who we're looking for

• Strong understanding of facilities management and maintenance requirements

• Excellent knowledge of health and safety and compliance legislation and environmental and climate initiatives.

• Proven leadership skills, including team development and volunteer management

• Experience managing budgets, projects and contracts effectively

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Advanced IT skills and experience using asset management systems
