We're looking for a Facilities Assistant at Nostell Priory to help keep the whole place in good condition and running smoothly for all the people who visit. This role is all about using your practical skills and attention to detail to look after a place that people love.

Salary: £12.75 per hour

Working Pattern: You will work 676 hours per year. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year. This works out to an average of 13 hours per week. This role involves working 4 or 6 hour shifts (8am–12pm or 8am–2pm) on a four-week rolling rota. The rota includes alternate weekends and some Bank Holiday working.

Contract Duration: Permanent

What it's like to work here:Nostell Priory is a wonderful place to work, where you’ll be part of a small, friendly team of five.

Your primary responsibilities will focus on customer facilities, mainly within the 18th-century Stables, as well as in the Mansion House. A key priority will be maintaining the customer toilets, alongside the staff office areas. In addition, you will support the preparation of the Riding School and Coach House function rooms for meetings and events

What you'll be doing:You’ll help with the day-to-day presentation of the National Trust’s buildings and outdoor spaces. You’ll be turning your hand to all sorts of cleaning and minor bits of maintenance, making sure that all our facilities are kept in good working order. You'll also be asked to help with some manual work such as unloading deliveries.

Duties such as cleaning toilets and office areas, as well as sweeping and litter-picking both indoors and outdoors, form a core part of this role. You will be expected to maintain the highest standards of customer service across all areas you oversee. This includes engaging with visitors, answering any queries, and providing a welcoming experience. You may also have opportunities to support general maintenance tasks and assist other teams when additional help is required.
