We are seeking aversatile and experienced Fabric Technician with Plumbing experience to joinour on-site Facilities team supporting a major refinery and associated officefacilities. This is a hands-on role responsible for delivering high-qualityplanned and reactive maintenance services across commercial officeaccommodation, welfare facilities, workshops, and operational supportbuildings.

The successfulcandidate will possess strong building fabric maintenance skills combined withpractical plumbing experience and a proactive approach to health, safety, andcustomer service.

What You’ll Do

Building FabricMaintenance

  • Carry out repairsto doors, locks, windows, flooring, ceilings, partitions, and general buildingfabric.
  • Undertake minorcarpentry, joinery, painting, decorating, and patch repair works.
  • Replace ceilingtiles and undertake internal and external fabric repairs.
  • Install andrepair office furniture, fixtures, fittings, and signage.
  • Support minorrefurbishment and improvement projects across the site.

Plumbing Duties

  • Diagnose andrepair minor plumbing faults including leaks, blocked sinks, toilets, anddrainage issues.
  • Repair andreplace taps, valves, sanitary ware, and associated plumbing components.
  • Carry out routinewashroom inspections and maintenance.
  • Support waterhygiene compliance activities, including flushing regimes and temperaturemonitoring.
  • Assist with minorplumbing installations and modifications.

Planned &Reactive Maintenance

  • Complete PlannedPreventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks in accordance with maintenance schedules.
  • Respond promptlyand effectively to reactive maintenance requests and breakdowns.
  • Identify faults,determine root causes, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintain accuratemaintenance records using mobile CMMS systems.
  • Supportspecialist contractors and escort duties where required.

Health, Safety& Compliance

  • Work inaccordance with refinery safety standards, permit-to-work systems, and companyprocedures.
  • Ensure compliancewith all relevant Health & Safety legislation and site requirements.
  • Conduct routineinspections and report hazards, defects, accidents, and near misses.
  • Complete riskassessments and comply with safe systems of work.
  • Maintain highstandards of housekeeping and workplace safety.

What You’ll Need

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3in Plumbing, Carpentry, Building Maintenance, or a related trade discipline, orequivalent experience.
  • Proven experiencein a Fabric Technician, Building Maintenance, Handyperson, or FacilitiesMaintenance role.
  • Practicalplumbing experience within commercial, industrial, or facilities managementenvironments.
  • Experiencecarrying out both PPM and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Goodunderstanding of Health & Safety requirements.
  • Ability to workindependently and as part of a multi-skilled team.
  • Strongcommunication and customer service skills.
  • Full UK DrivingLicence.

Desirable

  • Experienceworking within refinery, petrochemical, industrial, or highly regulatedenvironments.
  • Water HygieneAwareness qualification.
  • IOSH WorkingSafely or equivalent.
  • Experience usingCMMS systems and mobile working technology.
  • Knowledge ofpermit-to-work systems and contractor control procedures.
