We’re looking for an E&I Projects Lead to provide technical leadership and deliver Electrical & Instrumentation project scopes from concept through to commissioning and closeout. Reporting to the Projects Delivery Manager, you’ll lead a team of engineers, ensuring safe, compliant and commercially sound project delivery while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • You’ll take ownership of E&I project delivery, ensuring outputs meet safety, quality, regulatory and client requirements. This includes overseeing engineering deliverables, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs, and supporting construction and commissioning activities.
  • You’ll lead, coach and develop a team of Project Engineers, managing resource allocation across projects and ensuring delivery against programme milestones, costs and contractual obligations. You will also approve key technical and commercial documentation within Delegation of Authority.
  • A key part of the role is acting as the main interface with clients, vendors and internal teams, ensuring alignment, resolving issues quickly and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
  • You’ll also ensure full compliance with QHSE standards, promote a safety-first culture, monitor performance metrics, and support continuous improvement through lessons learned and system updates.

About you

  • You’re a strong communicator with a structured, delivery-focused approach. You’re comfortable leading teams, managing competing priorities, and making decisions in a project environment. You bring solid technical capability alongside commercial awareness.

Requirements

  • You’ll hold a degree in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation, or a related discipline, with at least five years’ experience in E&I or C&I project delivery.
  • Chartered status (or working towards it) is expected, alongside COMPEX certification (Ex01–Ex04) or equivalent hazardous area experience. Offshore certification and medical are desirable depending on project requirements.
  • You’ll have experience with control and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, and a working knowledge of SCADA/DCS, automation and industrial communication protocols.

Additional information

  • This role may involve occasional travel and on-call support depending on project requirements.
