Chemical Compliance

  • Act as the site’s Local Chemical Compliance Officer
  • Manage chemical inventory systems and ensure compliance with REACH, CLP, COSHH, COMAH and GHS requirements
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) databases and ensure chemical risk assessments remain accurate and up to date
  • Support chemical approval processes and change management for new substances and materials

What You Will Need:

We are looking for an EHS Officer who is eager, motivated to learn and keen to make a positive impact on site.

Essential requirements:

  • A recognised EHS qualification such as Tech IOSH, NVQ, or the NEBOSH General Certificate in Environmental Management or Occupational Health & Safety
  • Proven experience in a similar EHS role within a relevant operational environment, manufacturing, production, logistics, transportation or maintenance
  • Working knowledge of environmental permits, internal/external auditing, and ISO 14001 and 45001 management systems
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Experience collaborating with external bodies including contractors, local authorities and the HSE

Desirable Experience:

  • Higher‑level EHS qualifications such as the NEBOSH Diploma, a Chemistry or Environmental Science degree, NVQ Level 6, or AIEMA (or working towards it)
  • Experience working with chemicals in an industrial environment or a chemistry‑related background
  • Additional specialist knowledge such as industrial chemical qualifications or experience with packaging waste tax

Interview process

  • Stage 1: Recruiter review
  • Stage 2: 30 mins Teams interview
  • Stage 3: 60 mins on site interview and tour
