Drivers Mate

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and supportive team? We are currently recruiting for a Drivers Mate to join our Greene King operation in Tilbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and reliable individual who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering excellent service to customers.

An exciting opportunity for a Drivers Mate has opened at our Greene King site in Tilbury. You will be responsible for delivering barrels and cases of drinks to pub cellars, completing up to 12 drops per day while working alongside a driver.

This is a full time, permanent role. You will be working Monday to Friday on the early shift, starting 04:00 - 07:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Conducting vehicle checks, including opening curtain-sided vehicles and inner curtains
• Unloading barrels from the vehicle onto a mat
• Rolling barrels to a cellar or similar storage area
• Entering and exiting cellars, which may involve steps, confined spaces, reduced lighting, and roping/lowering barrels into the cellar
• Rolling barrels into their designated positions

• Previous experience as a Driver Mate or similar desirable
• Flexible approach to work
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and adaptability
