Job description:

Join the team protecting the UK’s busiest nightlife scene.

If you’re an SIA-licenced Door Supervisor who takes pride in your work, knows how to read a crowd, and thrives in the buzz of nightlife - we want to hear from you.

At Professional Security, you’ll be part of a nationwide team of over 7,000 officers safeguarding more than 2,000 hospitality venues. As the UK’s #1 hospitality security provider, you’ll protect guests across a wide range of exciting environments - from bars, pubs, restaurants and breweries to nightclubs, casinos, hotels, and quick-service restaurants.

You’ve almost certainly seen our teams in action at major names like JD Wetherspoon, Greene King, McDonald’s, Roxy’s, Nando’s, The Ivy, All Bar One - and many more!

We’re growing fast, and we’re looking for confident, professional, customer-focused Door Supervisors to keep these venues safe, welcoming, and running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

You’re not “just on the door” - you’re the face of safety, the first point of contact, and the person who helps everyone have a great night.

You will:

  • Be visible and approachable across the venue, engaging positively with guests and supporting staff
  • Maintain a polished, professional appearance at all times, reflecting the venue and Professional Security brand
  • Work closely with the venue team to ensure smooth operations and a welcoming environment
  • Spot and address potential issues before they escalate, keeping the night safe and enjoyable
  • Enforce venue standards, including dress codes, intoxication policies, and customer experience expectations
  • Handle conflicts calmly and professionally, always putting the customer experience first
  • Complete accurate incident reports and assist with emergency procedures

What We’re Looking For

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)
  • Ability to pass BS7858 security vetting (essential)
  • Previous experience in security, hospitality, or crowd management
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Professional appearance and calm, confident manner
  • Reliability, integrity, and strong teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work weekends, late nights, and peak periods
  • Reliable transport to and from shifts

What You Get

  • Competitive hourly rates
  • Weekly pay
  • Flexible working patterns -regular or ad-hoc
  • Consistent work at high-profile, busy venues
  • Stream (formerly Wagestream) – early access to wages
  • Supportive and experienced area management
  • Genuine career progression with one of the UK’s biggest security providers
  • Immediate starts available
  • We work with thousands of security professionals across the UK. Whether you want steady weekend work or flexible shifts that fit around your lifestyle, we’ll find a setup that suits you.
