We are looking for a motivated and driven individual to join Talbots as a Debt Recovery Executive within our Disputes Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with debt recovery experience who is looking to take ownership of their own caseload and develop their career within a growing and supportive team.
This role can be based from a number of our offices, with a choice between Waterfront, Stourbridge, Worcester or Wolverhampton.
As a Debt Recovery Executive, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload of debt recovery matters from instruction through to conclusion. You will work closely with clients, providing commercially focused advice and updates, while progressing cases efficiently and delivering exceptional levels of client service.

What does the job involve?
- Managing your own caseload of debt recovery matters from instruction through to conclusion.
- Reviewing matters and implementing appropriate recovery strategies to maximise successful outcomes.
- Progressing claims through the debt recovery process, including pre-action, litigation, judgment and enforcement stages where applicable.
- Managing client files through our SOS case management system.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and exceptional service.
- Engaging in business development activities and supporting the growth of the debt recovery offering.
- Liaising with clients, debtors, courts, enforcement agents and other third parties as required.
- Ensuring compliance with SRA, Lexcel and Law Society Quality Standards.
- Achieving individual and team performance objectives while maintaining high levels of file management and client care.
What do you need?
- Previous debt recovery, collections, litigation or legal case management experience.
- Experience managing your own caseload and prioritising a varied workload.
- A passion for delivering exceptional client care with excellent communication skills.
- Confidence using case management systems and Microsoft Office.
- A proactive, organised and detail-focused approach to work.
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative mindset and a drive to continually develop your skills and knowledge.
