NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) is looking for a Data & Reporting Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team within Technology. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering accurate, timely and insight-driven reporting and analytics that support both operational and strategic decision-making across the organisation.
Working in a structured Agile and DataOps environment, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, Data Product Managers, Data Engineers, Data Governance colleagues and operational teams to develop trusted reporting solutions that deliver real business value. You'll be part of a collaborative team that is committed to continuous improvement, innovation and high-quality data services.
This is a hybrid role, based in Leeds, with an expectation of attending the office 1 to 2 days per week. We offer excellent career development opportunities, ongoing training and development, and a supportive working environment where your contribution can make a real difference.
What you'll be doing:
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent.
Location: Leeds (Hybrid, 1-2 days per week in the office).
Security Clearance Level: DBS.
Internal Recruiter: Annecia.
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum.
Benefits: 25 days annual leave with the choice to buy additional days, health cash plan, life assurance, and pension.

What you'll be doing:
- Developing, maintaining and enhancing operational, tactical and strategic reports and dashboards.
- Analysing business requirements and translating them into effective reporting and data solutions.
- Extracting, transforming and validating data from multiple systems and data sources.
- Performing data analysis to identify trends, risks, opportunities and performance insights.
- Supporting data quality monitoring, issue resolution, testing and validation activities for reporting solutions.
- Contributing to reporting automation, continuous improvement initiatives, governance standards and Agile delivery processes.
- Experience delivering data analysis and reporting solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and data validation skills.
- Experience using reporting and visualisation tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or Oracle Analytics Cloud.
- Knowledge of SQL and data querying techniques.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets.
- Understanding of data governance and data quality principles within an Agile delivery environment.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Alteryx or Oracle Data Integrator.
- Experience working within healthcare, shared services or other regulated environments.
- Understanding of DataOps and DevOps delivery practices.
- Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps and TopDesk.
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse.
- Experience supporting automated reporting and workflow optimisation.
