About the Curriculum Manager role:

The Academic Studies faculty in Guildford includes A Levels, Access to HE, GCSEs, Business and Professional Studies and Counselling. Reporting to the Faculty Director, the successful candidate will provide strong leadership in curriculum development and design, creating an engaging learning environment aligned with our Learning Philosophy. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the implementation and continuous enhancement of the curriculum, ensuring alignment with our Learning Philosophy and the learner journey.

  • Delivering and reporting on quality performance targets and student/apprentice outcomes.

  • Managing all aspects of curriculum delivery, including recruitment, enrolment, retention, achievement, and overall success.

  • Supporting the induction and ongoing development of teachers and assessors to strengthen team performance and elevate teaching, learning, and assessment practices-ultimately improving the student experience and outcomes.

This is a permanent, full-time based at our Guildford College.

What do you need to be a successful Curriculum Manager at Activate Learning?

As the curriculum manager, you will;

  • Bring proven leadership experience at Faculty Management level, along with a deep understanding of evidence-based teaching, learning, and assessment-and how to evaluate them effectively.

  • Have a strong track record of raising standards and learner outcomes. Alongside a teaching qualification, you will demonstrate advanced practitioner skills and leading-edge teaching practice.

  • Exhibit an inspiring and authentic leadership style, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing abilities.

  • Demonstrate the attributes, behaviours, and proven commitment essential to our Learning Philosophy-led culture, where learners and learning are at the heart of everything we do.
