About the job We’re looking for a commercially driven and strategic Director of Commercial Excellence to join our Region UK & Ireland Chronic Care leadership team Reporting to the Senior Vice President, UKI, this is a high-impact and highly visible role where you will shape and deliver our commercial strategy, drive performance, and unlock growth opportunities across our largest chronic care market. You will lead an experienced Commercial Excellence team that work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and global stakeholders to strengthen our commercial capabilities and deliver measurable business impact
The role As Director of Commercial Excellence, you will take ownership of the commercial engine of the business, leading both strategy and execution. You will define and drive the commercial strategy for the UK & Ireland Region and lead the annual planning process, ensuring alignment with business priorities and market opportunities
You will oversee forecasting, providing clarity on performance drivers and ensuring robust decision-making. At the same time, you will build and embed best-in-class performance management frameworks, including KPIs, sales processes, and tools that enhance effectiveness across the organisation
A key part of the role involves turning data into actionable insight. You will lead the development of analytics and reporting capabilities, ensuring the business has the information it needs to drive growth and improve outcomes. You will also play a central role in strategic initiatives such as investment cases, tenders, and commercial transformation programmes
Alongside this, you will lead, coach, and develop your team, while influencing senior stakeholders across the business to ensure alignment, collaboration, and delivery
Who we're looking for You are a strategic and analytical leader who thrives in a complex, fast-paced environment and has a strong track record of turning insight into action You will bring experience from commercial excellence, strategy, or commercial finance roles, ideally within a matrix organisation, with healthcare experience being advantageous. You will have demonstrated success in forecasting, performance management, and driving commercial improvements, and be comfortable working with large datasets and CRM systems such as Salesforce You are an excellent problem solver with strong analytical capability, but equally important is your ability to influence and lead across functions and at senior levels. You are a confident communicator who can bring people on the journey and deliver change through others Above all, you are ambitious, structured in your thinking, and results-focused, with a passion for solving complex business challenges and developing high-performing teams
