About the client:
Our client is a well-established and respected organisation within the manufacturing and construction sector, committed to delivering high-quality products and services. They take pride in maintaining a safe, professional, and well-presented working environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.
An opportunity has arisen for a Cleaning Operative to join the team, helping to ensure office areas, welfare facilities, and communal spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting a clean, safe, and productive workplace.
Hours of work:
Contracted to 12 hours per week, working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 08:00 to 12:00.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleaning office areas, meeting rooms, kitchens, welfare facilities, and communal areas
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting throughout the site
- Cleaning washrooms and replenishing consumables such as soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste in accordance with site procedures
- Cleaning touchpoints, surfaces, fixtures, and fittings to maintain high hygiene standards
- Ensuring all assigned areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation
- Using cleaning equipment and products safely and in accordance with company procedures
- Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or stock shortages to management
- Following health and safety regulations at all times
- Supporting a clean, safe, and professional working environment for employees and visitors
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year cleaning experience, preferably in a medical setting
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
