Core Duties:
- Liaising with various stakeholders to ensure effective deployment of the Land UK SHE strategy and objectives across all sites. Provide advice and assistance to senior managers and staff that will enable them to discharge their responsibilities under the SHE Policy
- Development and implementation of the Land UK SHE Management System to meet the requirements of the Land UK OHSAS ISO 45001 (safety) and ISO 14001 (environment) certifications
- Management and facilitation of a SHE Assurance process including conducting SHE audits in support of management systems accreditation across multi sites
- Facilitation and delivery of SHE management reports, including providing insight through the analysis of SHE data
- Provide a consultancy service to the whole of Land UK
- Coaching and supervising of other team members as well as influencing positive SHE behaviours across the Land business
- Liaising extensively with internal and external stakeholders
Essential Skills:
- You will have a recognised professional Safety, Health & Environment qualification (e.g. NEBOSH diploma/NVA Level 6 or equivalent)
- You will have 45001 & 14001 lead auditor certificate
- You will be able to demonstrate theoretical and practical expertise in a number of safety, health and environment topic areas
- You will have experience implementing best practice and reviewing processes
- You will have documented success in training, development and behavioural assessments

The Land UK business have a critical role for a Central SHE Advisor supporting Governance and Systems.
The core focus of the role will be to provide SHE support for Land UK, with primary focus to provide the business with advice and guidance on SHE compliance and best practice; providing Land UK internal SHE governance to ensure legal and BAE Systems policy/process compliance; and, proactively driving an interdependent safety culture throughout the Land UK business.
The role demands a high degree of stakeholder management across Land UK, the wider UK BAE Systems community and externally with third party certifiers (e.g. LRQA), HASTAM for legal register and governing bodies such as the HSE (health & safety executive and the EA (environmental agency). The role therefore requires a strong understanding of a wide range of programmes, issues, functions, consultations, trends in strategic aims, and developments that stakeholders are planning / enacting.
