About Us…
We provide a high standard quality of care for up to 45 individuals with a diagnosis of dementia. We support our residents to maintain skills and encourage independence and promote dignity and privacy at all times. We respect peoples choices and engage individuals in activities and social outings.
As we are a regulated service our focus is on encouraging individuals care needs and for plans to be outcome based and person centred.
The role…
We are interested in hearing from people who are reliable, have excellent communication skills and work well with others to work within our social care workforce. Also, be able to work upon your own initiative
Duties will include supporting individuals with all aspects of daily. To meet the needs of residents/clients in accordance with their plan of care.
Providing social contact and emotional support to resident/clients through effective communication.
Providing for the personal care needs of residents/clients with sensitivity, to include dressing, washing, bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting and care of clothing and personal property.
To take responsibility for being aware of and adhering to the standards, policies and procedures of RCT in relation to the provision of care in the Council's Homes/Resource Centres.
Need to have some knowledge of basic Welsh speaking, but training will be provided.
Candidates for these posts will have a positive outlook and understanding of the needs of older people. Previous experience of working with or spending time with an older person or person with a disability/Dementia would be an advantage. The successful candidates will be supported to complete the All Wales Induction Framework (AWIF), a programme designed to prepare you for your new role and registration with Social Care Wales.
Must have a Commitment to undertake QCF level 2 in Health & Social Care.
