£13.15 per hour
Your Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a range of cuts to customer and company specification.
- Greet and serve customers, sharing your product knowledge and helping them get the most from their purchase.
- Prepare and maintain the counter and pre-pack areas to the highest hygiene standards.
- Carry out stock rotation and product sampling.
- Receive deliveries and complete the required paperwork.
- Distribute special offer materials and support general store operations.
- Provide cover and support for the store manager when required.
- Hands-on experience in a retail butchery environment is essential — this is not a role for someone new to the trade.
- A track record of excellent customer service and a drive to meet sales targets.
- Sound knowledge of legal requirements and procedures relevant to butchery.
- Experience supporting, training, and developing new team members.
- Confident acting up in a supervisory capacity when the store manager is absent.
- Flexible, deadline focused and able to perform well under pressure.
- A strong communicator who can work independently and use their own initiative.
- Genuine ambition to develop a long-term career within the trade.
