Join Siemens Energy as a Bid Project Manager and play a pivotal role in delivering high-voltage substation solutions that empower a resilient and sustainable electricity network. You will manage bids through the entire tender lifecycle, from Bid/No Bid decisions to securing high-quality orders for our Substations projects across the UK. How You’ll Make An Impact

  • You will manage assigned bids, ensuring compliance with internal approvals and governance processes to secure high-quality orders.
  • Collaborate with the Proposals Manager and Sales team to formulate winning bid strategies that align with customer needs and Siemens Energy’s objectives.
  • Review and analyze invitations to tender and contract documentation to identify project drivers, scope boundaries, and key risks.
  • Lead the Capture Team to ensure all deliverables are produced on time and in accordance with the tender program, maintaining visibility of bid progress and key assumptions.
  • Engage with customers during pre-tender meetings and presentations, ensuring clarity and understanding of project scope and requirements.


What You Bring

  • Proven experience managing the complete bidding process for multi-million-pound high-voltage substation or complex infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to make independent decisions and recommendations to management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a positive “can do” attitude.
  • Background in transmission and distribution projects, particularly high-voltage substations, with awareness of customer drivers in the UK electricity market.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments, building strong internal relationships to develop competitive substation proposals.

Our team is committed to delivering high-quality substation solutions that enhance grid reliability and facilitate the integration of renewable energy. We work closely with various departments, including engineering, commercial, and project delivery, to ensure our proposals are compliant, competitive, and aligned with Siemens Energy’s mission of driving the energy transition.
