About The Role
To meet the growing demand for our services, we are looking to recruit high calibre individuals with a range of expertise and experience and a keen interest in aviation. You will already have experience in an operational, technical or managerial role within an airport or ATM setting or as an air traffic controller in either a civil or military environment. As well as utilising your experience, you will be keen to work on wider consultancy projects and other activities in our rapidly growing aviation and UK businesses. We are looking for individuals who can use their expertise to take projects through the entire lifecycle from uncovering the initial opportunity all the way through bid preparation and delivery to ensure our customers’ expectations are met and exceeded.
We have a flat collegiate structure and work in small project teams where our philosophy is to encourage you to manage your own career and time. You’ll have far more autonomy than our competitors offer, and, in return, we ask that you deliver high quality work and ensure that our clients continue to come back to us (currently 80% of our work is repeat business!). As part of the business development, extensive client engagement and delivery focused nature of the role, you should expect to travel both within the UK and overseas.
The consultancy environment can be challenging and fast paced with opportunities emerging at very short notice that will require a flexible, agile approach to delivering excellence in consultancy services to meet client requirements. We crunch a lot of data, write a lot of reports, share our learning and knowledge with each other and really get to know our clients. If this sounds like a challenge that appeals to you, we would love to speak with you to understand how you can fit into our team.
In return we offer a competitive salary and a range of additional benefits including discretionary bonus, pension, private healthcare, life insurance, in house training, a great work/life balance and opportunities to travel.
Note this role can be based in either our Farnborough or Manchester office.
What do we need from you
To become a member of the Egis Team, the ideal candidate must be able to manage and deliver a wide range of complex air traffic management and airspace projects working in close collaboration with our diverse clients and stakeholders. A background as an air traffic controller within either a civil or military environment or a degree (or equivalent qualification) in a numerate discipline with a preference for engineering, science, or aviation-related subjects is essential.
To succeed in this fast-paced consultancy environment, you will also need to demonstrate a proactive mindset and a strong drive to see projects through to completion. To achieve this, exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills are critical.
You will also need to excel at problem-solving, applying strong critical thinking skills to complex challenges, genuine enthusiasm for client engagement - whether through workshops, training sessions, one-to-one meetings, or informal networking over coffee.
What's in it for you?
