How You’ll Spend Your Day
The Associate Director – Category Manager Devices will support the development and execution of category management across Teva’s Device network. This role owns assigned technologies within the Device Category and is responsible for developing practical category strategies while working closely with Strategic Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, and other business stakeholders to deliver consistent procurement outcomes.
Reporting to the Senior Director Procurement – Devices Category and Strategic Sourcing Lead, the role plays a key part in building foundational category management capability, strengthening supplier engagement, and improving procurement effectiveness with clear accountability for long-term financial value delivery.
This is a hands-on role suited for an experienced category professional who thrives in ambiguity and contributes to building structure, discipline, and consistency across procurement practice

How You’ll Spend Your Day

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Category Strategy & Planning
- Act as the internal subject matter expert for assigned device categories
- Develop actionable 3–5 year category roadmaps to drive savings and optimize P&L investments
- Align procurement strategies with manufacturing and broader business needs
- Translate category strategies into execution in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing teams
- Provide category expertise during RFx processes, supplier selection, and contract negotiations
- Ensure value delivery and alignment with strategic objectives
- Define and implement supplier management strategies for key device suppliers
- Lead supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement programs
- Partner with Quality and Manufacturing teams to ensure suppliers meet operational and compliance standards
Do you have?
- Significant experience in category management or strategic sourcing, ideally in a pharmaceutical or medical device industry
- Experience tracking KPIs and driving Cost of Sales (COS) reduction through structured, multi-year plans
- Knowledge of device markets, supplier landscapes, and relevant regulatory considerations
- Exposure to multi-site procurement environments
- Experience developing procurement strategies in complex global organizations
- A strong business partner who aligns procurement with stakeholder needs
- Influential and clear in communicating sourcing strategies
- Results-driven in delivering cost savings and supplier improvements
- Skilled at building strong supplier relationships
- Analytical with a commercial mindset
- Highly organized with strong communication skills
- Execution-focused and comfortable with ambiguity
