About the Job

We are looking for a proactive and organised Accounts Assistant to provide day-to-day support to our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience within a busy finance environment. The role involves processing purchase and sales invoices, matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring finance systems and spreadsheets are kept up to date.

You will also support the team with filing and organising financial documentation, responding to basic supplier and customer queries, and carrying out a variety of general administrative tasks. The successful candidate will have good attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work accurately while managing multiple priorities.

Key Tasks:

  • Data entry of purchase and sales invoices
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
  • Updating finance systems and spreadsheets
  • Filing and organising financial records
  • Assisting with basic supplier and customer queries
  • Credit control
  • Supporting the team with other general administrative tasks

Candidate Profile

Essential:

Strong administrative skills, including time management and workload prioritisation

Clear communication skills

Previous experience with excel and Microsoft office

Desirable:

Previous accounts environment

SAP knowledge

AAT level 2

This role is a Fixed-Term Maternity contract for 12 months

Up to 40hours a week
